The new technology development accelerator AlphaLab Gear opens Monday in East Liberty.

The accelerator will provide investment, collaborative space, mentorship and knowledge to Pittsburgh startups in robotics, manufacturing and other areas. It’s based on the model from South Side-based AlphaLab, which has helped launch 67 companies since being started by Innovation Works.
