Anna is an innovation and strategic consulting professional with a strong technical background.  She earned an MS in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases from the University of Pittsburgh and spent her early professional experience in the field of biomedical technologies. Anna gained entrepreneurial experience while working at a Pittsburgh-based start-up company (Carmell Therapeutics) to create tissue regeneration therapies. In addition, Anna spent time innovating in academic labs at the University of Pittsburgh before transitioning to creating business plans and commercialization strategies for university spinout companies in the biomedical field while completing her MBA at the Katz School of Business.  After working with the Coulter Foundation and Idea Foundry to grow the scientific Pittsburgh entrepreneurial community, she went to work for Highmark as a Strategic Innovation Consultant.  She now manages innovation strategy in the post-acute space by evaluating innovative technologies to help improve the delivery of the right care at the right time for the right price.
