Joe has been involved in the Pittsburgh startup scene for over 12 years, most recently as the manager of the systems group at Avere Systems. Prior to joining Avere, Joe worked as a software engineer for Spinnaker Networks (SN) and later Network Appliance after SN’s 2004 acquisition; as a software engineering manager at Xigmix (acquired by Extreme DA, which was acquired by Synopsys); and as a software engineer at Altera Semiconductor out of Silicon Valley.
Joe received his B.S. / M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon.
