Rebecca Harris is an entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience starting and growing companies and has, over the years, served as a strategic marketing specialist.
She graduated from Northwestern University as a communications studies major, received her MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, and is a member of the Leadership Pittsburgh XXVII class. Passionate about helping women start and grow successful businesses, Harris develops strategic programming to benefit women entrepreneurs and those working in regional businesses through the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Chatham University. Since Harris’s arrival as Director in 2009, she has applied her entrepreneurial skills to change the face of the Center. Under her leadership, the Center has designed and introduced a number of new programs, including the Women Business Leaders Breakfast Series, a comprehensive Membership program, and a suite of programs which include: MyBoard, a program that provides growth-stage women business owners with an experienced mentoring board of professionals with a combination of in-person and virtual meetings through an online platform; MyBusiness Startup, an entrepreneurial training program for earlystage women entrepreneurs; MyBusiness Growth, an entrepreneurial development program for growthstage women entrepreneurs; and MyConsulting Corner, a field project program combining students and women business owners to complete business research projects.
