Tripling the Bottom Line with Jean Case
Society is looking to business for solutions to local problems. Investors are seeking opportunities that combine social good along with financial results. The Tech sector provides both market based solutions and rich opportunities to connect them with communities and their aspirations. Jean Case will draw from her early experience at AOL and now from her perspectives at the Case Foundation to share her view of how the Technology sector can and must triple its bottom line of financial, social and environmental impact through community engagement.
Jean Case is an actively engaged philanthropist, investor and a pioneer in the world of interactive technologies. Her career in the private sector spanned nearly two decades before she and her husband, Steve Case, created the Case Foundation in 1997. The Case Foundation is recognized for its leadership in leveraging new technologies and applying innovative approaches to increase giving; catalyze civic and business participation; and promote innovation, collaboration and leadership in the nonprofit sector. In 2010 she joined The Giving Pledge, a commitment by the world’s wealthiest individuals and families to dedicate the majority of their wealth to philanthropy.
The session is co-moderated by Ilana Diamond of AlphaLab and Kathy Buechel of the Philanthropy Forum. There will be ample time for question & answers.
